Hole Cards: If you have an ace pair at the start of a game it is always considered a good hand as an ace pair is the strongest pair in any game of poker. If you have a hand with a pair of aces and pair of kings with you it is good as both of them are the top two pairs. However one thing that most people forget is that Omaha is a game of four cards and it is quite likely that someone who is playing against you can easily have a straight or even a flush considering the number of options present with them but the players can only use two out of the four cards present with them. In this case the best possible hand present with you is a pair of aces as the kings would not count for the hand being a weaker hand. Many people do not see to it while playing Omaha and loose out a lot at the online poker tables.
Hand Strength: Another thing that people do not realize while playing Omaha is that the hand strength in a game of Omaha is not different from poker but the probability of a particular set of cards being able to win is different. In case there are 4 players who are playing at a particular table in a game of Omaha, in this case the cards dealt to the players are 4*4 = 16 so 16 cards are already out of the deck of 52 so only 36 cards are still available in the deck and the probability of occurrence of a particular hand is reduced.
